The Stolen 2004 Election: George W. Bush - The Never Elected President

Answer: They weren't.

We're unlucky enough to be alive to witness the end of a grand experiment that was started in 1776 and has been going on ever since. The whole premise that the United States of America was based on was that it was a nation of the people, by the people, for the people. Of course, back then, by people they meant property owning white males.

And that is exactly what we are back to.

We are lucky enough to have some excellent researchers to chronicle the theft of this election, the disenfranchisement of tens of thousands of African-American voters in just Ohio, the illegal acts of the Secretary of State of Ohio who was also the Bush/Cheney '04 Campaign Chair and the destruction of our democracy.

I did not do the work that I am detailing here. All I am doing is giving access to it. All of the folks I am linking to are participants on Daily Kos.

Here is a full, complete and exhaustive report about the deliberate illegal vote fraud that happened in Ohio by georgia10:

The Informed Citizen's Guide To The 2004 Election is the original diary by georgia10. Be patient, it is slow to load.

I cannot recommend this work enough. georgia10 has done an outstanding job cataloging everything. This is the best overview of the nightmare that was 2004 I have seen yet. Take the time and read it.

Here are some important follow ups to the story:

Senators: Contest The Vote

Update: Keith Olbermann of MSNBC's Countdown is reporting that Six United States Senators will join with the House Democrats in challenging Ohio's slate of electors.

What can you do? Call/email/fax the Democrats in the Senate and tell them to support the challenge!!

Then join Democracy for America and help create a progressive nation!

No, we won't overturn the election. But we might help protect African-American votes in 2006 and 2008. Go do it!!
