Via Talking Points Memo comes a truly unbelievable story. The military is reduced to calling up 70 year olds.

Why can't anyone in this administration admit they were wrong? Is it pride? Selfishness? Are they actually evil? If they could admit they were wrong, then they could ask for help from our allies. At this late stage, they probably would not get much. At least they would be acting from a position of honesty, rather than this fantasy world they seem to operate from. Instead they lie, and then they have to lie to cover up the first lie, and now our soldiers are dying on a daily basis because of their lies.

We learned nothing from Vietnam.
