Those Tolerance Loving Conservatives!

  • My churches are always open to everyone. Image courtesy of FreeFoto.com
  • Apparently the message of Jesus Christ is not for everyone. In fact, it apparently specifically is not for Democrats, at least not in Asheville, North Carolina. The East Waynesville Baptist Church recently voted to kick out nine members for being Democrats. Apparently this is something the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina supports:
Dr. George Bullard, associate executive director-treasurer for Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, said if a church’s bylaws allow for the pastor to establish who and who cannot be members of the church, the pastor has every right to disallow memberships.
Hey, if your church kicks you out because of your political views, remember, you are always welcome as a Pagan. You can still worship Jesus Christ and the cross can still be your holy symbol. We're pretty much tolerant of everyone, no matter how weird (and I do think Christians are a little weird. Cool, but weird.). Or you can join a truly Christian Church that believes that God is Still Speaking and that no matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome.

More intolerance is in the news. The Florida Judge who allowed a 13 year old girl to have an abortion may be denied communion. One final one: Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius was uninvited from giving her former High School's commencement address because she is pro-choice.

In an unrelated, but equally chilling note, our concentration camp, Gitmo, is getting its own execution chamber. Of course our "liberal" media did not cover this; I had to go to the BBC to find out about it. Concentration camp + death chamber = ? Think about it. The people who would be executed are being held without charges, without access to attorneys, have been subject to torture...

Does this bother anybody but me?
